Silly Girls
September 26, 2008
Once again today my girls were on a roll. I think I actually snorted at one point. Sometimes they just tickle me. It all started when Brandon and Lauren came back from washing the sleeping bags at the laundrymat (major rip off by the way! -it would only take not washing your clothes for a couple of months to be able to buy your own stinkin machine!) They had been playing pretend, Lauren was the dad and Brandon was the son and they had been “fishing” from the carpeted bay window seat there. It was so cute she was walking around calling him son and at lunch she wanted to say the prayers because she was the dad.
Then around supper time, we told the girls to get dressed because we were going out. Erica wanted to know where we were going, Brandon told her “Crazy” She said “well you don’t need to wear clothes to go crazy”. So anyway, the place we were taking them all was to the Grand Coney restaurant here in town. While we were eating Erica said “the next person to have a birthday should choose to go here” (they each get to choose the restaurant of their choice for a birthday dinner -within reason of course). Then we got talking about that I will be the next one who gets to pick and how I will be 34 in October. Erica says “wow! then you’ll be like right at the top of the hill” and Sam chimes in “no, thats not ’till your 50.” Toward the end of our meal Erica (who had eaten two pancakes, two sausage patties, and a side of hashbrowns) starts commenting on how full her stomach was. Then she proceeds to state her observations that “Daddy is the fattest, then mommy is the second fattest because she has the baby.” Interestingly when she started talking about herself and her sisters it switched to “Lauren is the second skinniest (the baby being the skinniest of course) then she was the third skinniest and Sam was the fourth skinniest.” We joked that we could have our own TV show -just give our kids food and let them roll.
Oh do I ever wish Brandon’s phone hadn’t died because we would have the cutest evidence of how much Lauren enjoyed her “side order of toast” not toasted. (She wanted the peanut butter and jelly sandwich w/o the peanut butter so since they have jelly right on the table we just ordered the bread and I jellied it for her -she thought it was great b/c she got to sample all four jellies) She had jelly from ear to ear, it looked like a big jelly smile.

Dawn,
Your girls are hillarious. I laugh everytime I read about them. I can hear their voices as if they were in the room.
I hope you are getting enough rest. The house…well…if it is like mine, being clean is overrated. It only ever lasts about 5 minutes anyway.
So the baby is due in january, right? No ideas for a name? Nola had one for you -Cyndia (pronounced Sin-De-Uh). So there you haven’t, Nola’s opinion.
Well, I better sign off. We’re going to the Royal Gorge today with Mark’s sister who is visiting.
Love ya,
Laura
