This page is dedicated in memory of our beautiful son Joshua Geoffrey Sloterbeek.  Joshua had a condition called Limb Body-Wall Complex and was stillborn during his birth March 9, 2007 at about 31 weeks.  We loved him dearly.  We will be updating this page with his story and the precious memories we have of our short time with him.

This is the video that Brandon made the night before Joshua’s Funeral.  The music is from the CD “Precious Memories” by Alan Jackson. This CD has brought me much comfort and peace throughout our time with Joshua, just one of the many blessings God has provided.

The following is a slide show of some of my favorite pictures … I’m so excited to share them!

What a beautiful video! It brought tears to my eyes to realize just what you went through and to see that precious baby. Thank you for sharing and I am so sorry for your loss!
It brings joy to my heart, though, that precious Joshua is gathered in Jesus’ arms!!

  4. I am just ‘blog surfing’ tonight and stumbled here. I hope I am not intruding by leaving a comment; I just want to say that you were so brave and faced this with such courage and strength. I can see God’s love shining on you.

    Dawn,

A friend of mine found Joshua’s page for me. I too am carrying a baby with limb body wall complex. We got this dx 3 weeks ago. I am 16 weeks pregnant with my third child, a girl who we have named Joy. I am encouraged by your family’s strength. I would love the opportunity to communicate with you via email as it seems to be so hard to connect with anyone who has gone through this.

    God Bless you!

    Dawn,
I often think of Joshua and the big impact he made in such a short time. In fact his life still impacts me and I know it impacts others, as well.

Keep sharing your families wonderful experience so others may see the love of Jesus.

    Love,
    Laur
